Connemara Pony Horse Breed Profile
Connemara's are an excellent all-round riding pony and are often ridden in eventing and dressage. They are especially well represented in the US Pony Club where their excellent disposition makes them great horses for children.
The Connemara Breed Standard
Connemaras in North America range from 13 to over 15 hands. Their colors are gray, bay, brown, and dun, with some roans, an occasional black, chestnut, or palomino. Piebalds and skewbalds are not acceptable for registration in the American Connemara Pony Society.
